The Conservative Party, led by Pierre Poilievre, is going to defund and undermine the CBC. Stopping Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives is a matter of preserving Canadian identity and ensuring equal access to information.
This move jeopardizes public access to quality journalism, especially in rural and underserved areas, leaving Canadians in media deserts and vulnerable to foreign-owned media interests that prioritize profit over public service.

While Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives are pushing to defund the CBC, we are committed to protecting and enhancing this vital public broadcaster.
We must be diligent about safeguarding the democratic principles and cultural diversity that defines who we are as Canadians and makes Canada strong.

HELP US DEFEND THE CBC
Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives have made it clear that they want to defund and dismantle the CBC. This would leave every Canadian without access to reliable, non-partisan news, and open the door for profit-driven reporting and media. It would be a direct contradiction to who we are as Canadians, and what we stand for.
My work focuses on advocating for the continued support and funding of the CBC. I am working hard to ensure that the voices of Canadians who rely on the CBC are heard in Parliament and across the country. But I need your help. Your voice is critical in sending a message to Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives that we will not stand for the defunding of the CBC.
